Thinking Out Loud #2

I thought I'd be posting regularly on Thursdays but it hasn't happened since March. Things are slow, but for good reason: I'm much busier with doula work and getting my SavvyMom articles written. Plus, I'm watching way too much tv.

Anyway, it's about time for an update post because so much has happened lately and I'm tired of being so behind.

Linking up with Amanda from Running with Spoons.

1. I'm a huge sucker for sunsets. Love them! There have been some really nice ones in the past few weeks and the view out my bedroom window while I'm waiting for the kids to finally fall asleep is beautiful.

Beautiful sunset.
2. A friend is having a hard time so we went out for dinner, leaving the kids at home with the guys. It was after 2 cokes and this amazing dessert that she asked how my go at paelo was working. Obviously it's going well.

Chocolate mousse and cheesecake. Totally NOT paleo.

3. Summer (spring, technically) is perfect for sun showers. In this picture it was POURING but super sunny. Plus you get a peak of our new front walkway.

Sun showers.
4. This girl is still a firecracker. She's been 4 for a few months now and would be totally fine in school, but that doesn't start until September. For now she's in preschool 2 mornings a week. J's been off work and keeping her busy, and there will always be puzzles and playdates.

5. We've implemented family game night on Fridays. well, we had our first and hopefully we'll remember to do it again tomorrow. It's funny playing games with the kids - they are so competitive. It's a great lesson in how to lose and how to win gracefully. And it's nice for me and J to relive some of our childhood favourites.

That's it for today. I have more posts to write but more tv to watch. We'll see what happens tonight.
