Little J at 5

Little J at 5 is your typical little boy. He's always running around playing, being loud and rough, but loves to play games, read, and watch tv too. He can be very sensitive and sweet, being so nice to his sister when she really needs it most. But don't get me wrong, he beats on her too. Right now he likes Pokemon, Beyblades, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Lego.

Little J started senior kindergarten last week. He goes to school full days now and has been doing really well with the transition. He also started karate this summer and goes once a week.

Little J learned to ride his bike with no training wheels a few months ago. It was really neat watching him go from a wobbly mess on a bike to zipping around the driveway. And he isn't scared of getting his face wet anymore. I'm excited to see how swimming lessons go this fall.

Nothing has really changed with Little J's eating. He takes forever to eat dinner, would rather eat cards than meat, and loves cake and treats.

Little J sounds more and more like an adult when he talks, except when he pulls out MAMA every so often. He pretend stutters and says UM a lot when he's thinking of something to say, normally when he's putting off going to bed. He has French all afternoon at school and has already started saying things in French.

He normally sleeps from 9 or 9:30 pm until 7 or 8 am, but now that school has started I need him eating by 7:30 at the latest. He rarely wakes at night, but is sometimes a pain to get to bed. He never naps and falling asleep in the car has only happened a handful of times in the past year.

Little J weighs almost 40 pounds. He wears 5T clothes though a lot of his 4T stuff still fits. His shoes are a size 12 or 13... almost into the big kid sizes.

That, in a nutshell, is my little man. Happy birthday, Little J!
