The Rosie Project is a book about a guy named Don who is socially awkward but embarks on a project to find a wife. His project gets side tracked when he meets Rosie who is looking for her biological father and together they work on Project Father. Project Wife becomes Project Rosie while Don tries to win her over. The book is awkward and I found myself wanting to shake Don or help him or I don't know. He does things a certain way: he's very mathematical and calculating and exact. Rosie is very impulsive and wild. You wonder if they could work together as a couple.
I devoured this book on our cruise and liked it even if it made me feel uncomfortable in the beginning. It was interesting getting inside Don's head to see how he approached life and finding a partner. I found myself shaking my head at some of his decisions and laughing out loud at others. It was an enjoyable book.
