Shop Canadian

I posted already about some of my favourite Ottawa vendors, and now I'm sharing my Canadian faves. These are Canadian vendors or companies that I've had the pleasure of working with this past year and I hope you'll check them out. Time might be short for Christmas presents but there are always birthdays and other present-buying occasions.

Anne's Usborne Books (Anne's Usborne Books on Facebook
Anne sells Usborne Books. Some of the kid's favourites are by Usborne, like That's Not My Monster... and a Farm book. I like how on the website you can search not only by Title and Author, but by age, and if that doesn't work, you can contact Anne for suggestions.

Sugar Boogerz (Sugar Boogerz on Facebook) (Sugar Boogerz on Etsy)
Jessica and Tara are the ladies behind Sugar Boogerz, a shop specializing in handmade children's items. They make crochet hats, booties and photography props, and sewn bibs, toy leashes and soother clips. They were so generous to sponsor a giveaway. I couldn't resist the Spider-Man hat and ordered that for Little J for Christmas. Little K chose a penguin hat. They came quickly and are perfect. Jessica and Tara do custom orders and will work with you to create exactly what you're looking for.

PlaSmart/PlasmaCar (PlaSmart on Facebook)
PlaSmart is the company behind the popular PlasmaCar. They too sponsored a giveaway on the blog and I know that the winner just loves his PlasmaCar. They are located here in Ottawa and have other toys too. We recently tried out a new game and will have a review posted soon. Our PlasmaCars have been a favourite around here since we got them and I love that the weight limit is high enough that J and I can zip around on them too.

Snuggle Bugz (Snuggle Bugz on Facebook)
Snuggle Bugz is an online baby store that is generously sponsoring the blog (see their ad on the sidebar.) They carry pretty much anything you need for baby and have a gift registry right on their site. They have lots of items on sale and offer free shipping on orders over $40. And if you're in Burlington or Milton, Ontario, you can visit them in person.

Simply Plan (Simply Plan on Facebook)
Simply Plan is a new Canadian company specializing in a planner to keep you organized. They have researched what people want in a planner and offer just that. It includes space for monthly goals, meal planning, notes and important information, goal setting, and lots more. I will have a full review up soon but feel free to head over to their site and check it out.

Hipkiddo (Hipkiddo on Facebook)
Even though we're done with cloth diapers, I still want to include Hipkiddo on my list because they not only make great and affordable diapers, they are a really great company. They sponsored a giveaway on my blog and when the winner didn't receive their diaper quickly, they immediately sent it out and included a bunch of extras. It's the little things that win me over and Hipkiddo does them. If you're looking at cloth diapering your babe, please check them out.

Do you have any great Canadian companies that you'd put on this list? It's not always possible to shop Canadian, but when I can I love to!
