The Little Mermaid Giveaway

** The giveaway is now closed. Thanks to everyone who entered. **

I'm not one to collect things, but I do have quite a few Disney DVDs. I started asking for them for Christmas because I knew if there were any movies I wanted to share with my kids it would be them. Disney movies are just so great. I love putting them on for the kids and realizing that I still know most of the words and all of the songs by heart.

The Little Mermaid is definitely one of the movies I own. I was 8 years old and in grade 2 when it came out. I remember running around at recess with my friends at school singing the songs and putting on a play with some of my classmates. We loved it.

The first time I put it on for Little J there were parts I had to fastforward (any scene with Ursula) but he liked it. It's a great movie though and once he's a little older he'll be able to watch the whole thing. Little K too.

The Diamond Edition of The Little Mermaid is coming out October 1st and I have a copy to giveaway!

To enter just leave me a comment telling me who you will watch The Little Mermaid with if you won and then fill out the Rafflecopter form below. I'll be watching it with my kids and maybe J.
{Giveaway closes September 29th at 12am and is open to Canada and the US, but no PO Boxes. Winner must provide their mailing address within 48 hours or I'll pick a new one.}

Just in case you haven't seen the movie, here's the synopsis:
Ariel is a free-spirited mermaid, who is off on the adventure of a lifetime with her best friends, the adorable Flounder, and the reggae-singing Caribbean crab Sebastian at her side. But it will take all of her courage and determination to make her dreams come true -- and save her father's beloved kingdom from the sneaky sea witch Ursula.

Also, check out the website for so much fun stuff - clips, games, and activities.

Disclosure: I received a copy of the movie in exchange for this post. All opinions are my own. And you bet I was humming Kiss the Girl the entire time I was writing this post!

  5. Great giveaway! My four-year old son has been in love with Ariel for a few years now and we only have it on VHS (horrors!). We have a life-size stuffie of her and she has been a regular fixture in his bed for a year now. I've always loved the soundtrack and it is part of our regular dance party playlist. Under the Sea is our favourite.
