Enjoying: The Victoria Day long weekend. The weather yesterday was beautiful and today is gray but it's still nice to have my family together. J and I have traded off sleeping in and napping and he took on the big project of installing a sprinkler system in the backyard. He wanted a project for the long weekend and got it finished in a day. So handy, that guy.

Reading: My third Emily Giffin book. I started with Where We Belong and loved it so I got a few more from the library. I read Something Blue and just started Baby Proof. (Those are all Goodreads links by the way. I use Goodreads to keep track of what I read. You can find me - I'm Life of K Blog.) I also have Something Borrowed, Love the One You're With, and Heart of the Matter to read. Needless to say I am quite enjoying Giffin's books.

Watching: I spent a lot of time this week blogging in my spare time but I finally got a chance to catch up on tv too. J and I watched The Office episodes except the finale and I watched the Grey's Anatomy finale (whew!). I'm so excited So You Think You Can Dance is back on. It might be my favourite show. And I watch Dancing With The Stars when I'm folding laundry. I'm not too into it yet, but I know I'll get more invested in the stars soon enough.

Loving: The excitement of the earthquake we had this week. That might sound strange but there is nothing like a big natural event like an earthquake, which is pretty cool on its own, and then being able to jump on Twitter and Facebook and seeing everyone all excited too. The last earthquake we had was in 2010 and I remember grabbing Little J and running outside. Many of my neighbours did the same. Nothing like an earthquake to bring people together.

Working on: Processing the doula retreat I went on last weekend. It was such a nice day and I'm so grateful I was able to go. It confirmed for me that being a doula is exactly what I want to do. I reconnected with some doulas I already knew, met some in person that I've been talking to online for a while, and met some completely new-to-me doulas. I'm also constantly working on my business: readjusting my agreement and other paperwork, working towards my certification, reading books, making contacts, finding blogs... the birth work world is amazing.

Looking forward to: Going to the cottage this summer. The kids can't stop talking about it and the cottage gets more and more fun the older they get. It gets less scary for me as a parent (lake, non-kid-proofed cottage...) and more fun for my kids (let's do all the things!) I think this will be the best year yet!

Unlike Danielle, who is the inspiration for my currently posts, my kids do play with my phone, but not too much I hope!

I hope you are having a great weekend.
