Kids clothing, consignment sales, and a giveaway

**The giveaway is now closed.  The winners have been emailed.  Thank you to everyone who entered.**

Kids grow so quickly... at least mine do. And kids are tough on their clothes... at least mine are. For me this means I stick to buying clothes from a couple of stores that are relatively inexpensive and I buy the bare minimum to get through the season. I also do laundry often.

I've found one store in particular that meets my needs: the clothes fit my kids well and are inexpensive, there are often sales, and there's free shipping for online orders. What I would love though is to buy clothing for my kids second-hand because I would undoubtedly save money.

Unfortunately it's hard finding time to get to consignment stores and I often get frustrated trying to buy from people in local moms groups. This is why I love the idea of a huge consignment sale - a one-stop shop for kid's clothes. Sure it may take a bit to get through everything, but to be able to outfit my kids for an entire season or two in one shot? I'll take it.

Fortunately for us here in Ottawa the OutGROW OutPLAY spring/summer sales are coming up. I went to the fall/winter sale back in 2011 and found stuff for both kids that they are still wearing. I was able to take about an hour and half to myself, shop the aisles, and find clothes mostly from that one store I really like, for a fraction of the price of buying new.

Because I had such a great experience, when the Ottawa Central OutGROW OutPLAY franchise owner contacted me and asked if I would write about the sales, I agreed. Not only that, I negotiated a giveaway for all of you! First, let me tell you the benefits of shopping this consignment sale.

Like I said, the OutGROW OutPLAY sales are coming up. There are four locations in Ottawa: Ottawa Central, Nepean, Kanata, and Orleans. Each has a different date so be sure to check the website for the sale closest to you. And it's not just for clothes, there are toys and books and games and bedding and so much more. Need a ride-on toy for your toddler? I'm sure you'll find one.

The OutGROW OutPLAY franchise is dedicated to hosting organized events with quality items for sale. Not only that, they're helping out the community. They collect donations for the food bank, support local businesses and community organizations, and donate any unsold items to local charities on behalf of the consignors.

Speaking of consignors, there are many perks to consigning at the sale. It's a great way to sell all the clothes your kids have outgrown and shop for the next size up. You'll make money and save money. And if you consign, you also get to shop the pre-sale.

I am giving away a pair of pre-sale passes to two lucky readers AND another reader is going to get free consignor registration (a $15 value). The pre-sale passes and consignor registration are valid at the Ottawa Central location, May 3-5 at the St. Laurent Arena. Make sure to check out the OutGROW OutPLAY website for all the details on the sale as well as how to register as a consignor.

To enter the giveaway please use the Rafflecopter form below and leave a comment telling me which you would like to win, a pre-sale pass for you and a friend and/or free consignor registration. Good luck!
