Books from 2012

Thanks to posts by Danigirl and Julie, I wanted to post about all the books I read this year.  Thankfully it's not too hard because I keep track of them on Goodreads.  (You can find me as Life of K Blog on there.)

In the order I read them, here they are:

The Cellist of Sarajevo by Steven Galloway
Toys by James Patterson
Do Chocolate Lovers Have Sweeter Babies? by Jena Pincott
The Hunger Games, Catching Fire and Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins
Natural Born Charmer by Susan Elizabeth Phillips
Fifty Shades of Grey, Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed by E.L. James
Bloom: Finding Beauty in the Unexpected by Kelle Hampton
Three Day Road by Joseph Boyden
Beyond the Sling by Mayim Bialik
The Lost City of Z by David Grann
Divergent and Insurgent by Veronica Roth
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling
The Maze Runner, The Scorch Trials and The Death Cure by James Dashner
Drowning Ruth by Christina Schwarz
The Help by Kathryn Stockett
Countdown and Body of Lies by Iris Johansen
Seriously... I'm Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres

And that doesn't include the books I read for my doula training.  Whew!

If you are looking for quick, fun reads, I would suggest the young adult ones on my list - The Hunger Games trilogy, the Maze Runner trilogy, and Divergent and Insurgent (third book coming soon!) - or books by celebrities - Mindy Kaling, Ellen DeGeneres or Tina Fey.

If I had to make any reading goals for 2013, it would be to continue what I'm doing... reading a variety of genres to keep things interesting.  I like hearing what other people are reading so if you have a book to recommend, please do!

Back in September I wrote up a post about the books I read over the summer with little reviews.  It's here if you want to read it.

What did you read this year?  Anything good?  Bad?  Interesting?  Do tell!
