Saturday | The Life of K: Saturday

Today's been a busy day so I'm just going to stick with the NaBloPoMo prompts I missed last week.

November 7: The last compliment I received.

I missed answering this last week so thought I'd do it now. I receive compliments all the time but they are mostly platitudes. I think this is how our fast-paced world works. But real, thoughtful compliments don't happen all that often.

At the end of my course last weekend, we went around the circle and told everyone what we got out of the course and then turned to the person on our left and told them why we thought they'd make a great doula.  The words spoken to me brought tears to my eyes.  It was the situation and the atmosphere in the room.  What she said about me was pretty amazing.

November 9: One thing in my life right now I would change.

This is a tough one but I have to say that I wish Baby K could fall asleep on her own.  I would also add that I'd love it if she slept through the night.  It's been so long that I've had decent sleep and am functioning just fine, but I'd be that much better with good sleep on a regular basis.  So much more able to deal with every day life.  I can only assume she would benefit too.

That's that.  Hope you all had a great Saturday!
