Review: Disney/Pixar's Brave

**The giveaway is now closed.  The winner has been emailed.  Thank you to everyone who entered.**

The other week I said to J that we needed to see Brave so I was thrilled when I was offered a chance to review it.  Brave is a movie about Merida, the red head on the cover, who isn't your typical princess.  Without giving too much away,  she goes against tradition in a way that appeals to me but really messes things up.  She spends the movie trying to set things right.

I sat down to watch Disney/Pixar's Brave with Little J one afternoon.  He's 3 and found some scenes scary so we had to skip those, but he said he liked the movie.  The fact that he sat through the entire thing is proof for me.

I really liked it.  I liked the story and thought the bonus feature, The Legend of Mordu, added some interesting back story.  And I couldn't stop looking at Merida's hair.  It reminded me of the anemone in Finding Nemo and how I could stare at that for hours.  Mesmerizing.

I'm very happy to have this movie in my collection and you can too. That's right, you can win a copy for yourself. The 5-Disc Ultimate Collector's Edition to be exact. It includes a 3D Blu-ray, 2 Blu-ray discs, a DVD and a digital copy.  Good luck to you!

  8. I don't really have a favorite as I enjoy most. I'm going to say Wall-E just because I thought it was neat they could keep my interest and tell the whole story despite the fact there is pretty much no dialog. Plus the little robot is cute.

  9. Cars, which is pretty funny since I have had to watch it a million times and would think I would be sick of it, but its still my favorite!
