Oh my....

It's just the second day of of November, the second day of NaBloPoMo where I'll be posting every day for the month of November, and I'm scrambling to put something up after 11pm.  Oh my indeed.

But wait!  I have excuses.  Want to hear them?  My kids have been sick all week and now I have my doula training course this weekend.  Talk about bad timing.

The course is a birth doula training that is approved by DONA (Doulas of North America).  It started tonight and went for 4.5 hours and goes all day tomorrow and Sunday.  This will be the longest I've been away from the kids.  Thankfully they did fine tonight and I'm hoping they'll be fine tomorrow.

It's not that I don't think J is a great dad, but the fact is that I'm always with the kids.  Always except the random and not-often-enough times where I go out.  You know, the times where I run to the grocery store and I'm gone 20 minutes, or the times I sneak away to get my hair cut, or the very rare times where I've gone out at night with friends.  That and the fact that I'm nursing Baby K and she nurses to sleep.  J's plan to is drive her around in the car until she passes out.  Car naps for everyone!

I will definitely let you know next week how the weekend goes.  I'll report back on how J did with the kids (awesome most likely) and how my course goes (awesome most likely).

November 2012

In the spirit of NaBloPoMo, I thought I'd post a quick response to the prompts.

November 1: Favourite quote

My favourite quote of all time is If you don't mind, it doesn't matter.  It reminds me to let go of things that bother me.

November 2:  If I could live anywhere, where would it be?

This is a tough one. I'd like to say somewhere hot, somewhere like Costa Rica. Specifically Tamarindo because it was beautiful.

But I'm not sure I'd want to be so far from family and hot places have big bugs.  So... here?  Here.

  1. I have a mantra similar to your favorite quote:
"Would You Rather Be Right, Or Be Happy?"
It has saved me from myself on more than one occasion.
