Baby K 20 months

Catching up with the monthly posts for my baby girl...

As you can see from the picture, Baby K still has dark blue eyes and very little hair.  She always has a bruise on her forehead and a serious look on her face.  She got a really really bad bruise on her ear by falling into the side of the tub.

I found a baby doll to replace the one that Baby K stole from neighbour A, but she is still less interested in the baby and her security blanket than before.

This month was a busy month.  We saw J autocross for the last time this season and saw butterflies.  Baby K was not a fan.  We had a busy Thanksgiving weekend with lots of family time and lots of dancing.  We went to the farm to see the animals, went to pick out pumpkins, and watched my 5K race.  Baby K loves being outside and is getting really good at the plasma car.  She loves to play in the leaves but hates to wear her winter coat.  She will not wear any of the toques we have for her.

Little J can get the biggest belly laughs out of her by pretending to spit out food.  He is constantly walking around holding her hand telling her that they're on the street and she needs to be careful.  He is always making things up and confusing her.

Baby K's obsession with Winnie the Pooh seems to be over though she loves the kids table and chair I got for her.  She is now obsessed with sunglasses and hardly takes them off.

Baby K can drink out of a regular cup and use a straw.  She is so close to jumping and tries but never gets both feet off the ground.  I think she's running a bit faster.

Baby K is still eating well, though not as much as I think she should be.  She drinks homo milk from a sippy cup and nurses 4-6 times a day.

Baby K's language continues to develop and she is speaking in sentences most of the time.  She will repeat any word you say to her and is constantly adding new words.  She is singing more and more.  Still still signs.

Same as always... asleep for the night around 8:30 and up around 7am.  She wakes once or twice to nurse and naps between 1 and 3 hours in the afternoon.

Baby K had her 18 month appointment (late) and weighed in at 22 pounds and 34 inches tall.  I'm guessing she might be a bit heavier and a bit taller but not much.  She got her shots and cried and cried.

This was a pretty good month... lots to do and pretty good weather.

  1. Very detailed. I'm guessing I'd be more likely to keep up with this type of tracking vs. a traditional baby book.
