Hello November

Here we go! I've decided to join in and blog every day this month. It's a little overwhelming but with some adjustments to my expectations (down, way down) I think I'll be okay.

I have to save my Halloween post for tomorrow then (fingers crossed) because I want to include some pictures and I haven't uploaded them yet. Plus, I'd really like to go to bed. Baby K is sick and having a hard time sleeping so I was up a bunch last night and will likely be up a few times tonight with her. I'm not complaining, it's just my reality.

I think this is only the second time she's been sick. A sick baby is sad but cute. She's all stuffed up and sneezing all the time, but she's still pretty happy. Until she's not and then she's really sad. Like when she was crying with tears streaming down her face at dinner tonight. I think she was upset that she wasn't feeding herself. She really seems to want to control things, like hold the spoon when we're feeding her purees. That gets messy so we do everything we can to avoid her grabby little hands. It doesn't always work and she needs a serious wipe down after those self-directed meals. It'll be nice when my kids are old enough to wash their own hands.

So I'm hoping that my house gets over this cold quickly. J and I are doing a good job so far of staying healthy. Healthy is good. Especially when we have a wedding to go to this weekend. It's the second last one of the year, the last one is next weekend. My issue (okay, I have a few issues actually, so this is my first) is that I don't know what to wear. And because the wedding next weekend is with the same group of friends, I can't wear the same thing to both weddings. And not a lot of my clothes fit properly anymore. AND I don't have a lot of time to go looking around stores and trying things on.

My other issue is that I have no idea if I can leave Baby K and have her not scream the whole time. Do I just hope for the best and keep my cell phone on the whole night? Do I plan to only stay until a bit after dinner and hopefully get home before she wakes up needing me?

I obviously have some things to figure out. And some things to take care of this week like getting wedding gifts, getting Little J a winter coat that he'll actually wear and maybe getting some groceries.

Don't worry, you'll hear all about my adventures now that I'm committed to blogging daily. You can thank me later.
