Easter

This past weekend was the Easter long weekend. To me Easter is all about having a long weekend, seeing my family and friends and eating some big meals. This year did not disappoint.

Friday we went over to see my family. My brother and his girlfriend were in town for a couple days and I wanted Baby J to have lots of time with his uncle. As expected Baby J was really shy at first, always running to J, but eventually warmed up and had a great time running around, climbing up and down the stairs and chasing the dog around. He learned that the dog's name is Max and was screaming that over and over and barking at her while he chased her around. I'm not sure Max knew what was going on and she was probably happy to see us leave.

Saturday we went back for Easter dinner #1. Baby J was shy for the first bit but warmed up again and we had a good dinner with my family. It was my brother's first time meeting Baby K and I have to say that he was much better with her than he was when Baby J was her age.

Sunday was J's family's day. Dinner was at his grandparent's house and it was good. Baby J was shy this time with J's grandfather and never warmed up to him.

Monday morning my aunt and cousin came over for a short visit. I didn't ask, but I'd really like to go visit my aunt and uncle who recently moved to Florida. They have a really nice place with a screened-in pool. I'm just dreaming of vacationing because it isn't something we'll be able to do for a while.

That afternoon friends came over for a BBQ. Our group of 6 has ballooned into a group of 10 (6 of us plus 4 kids). Baby J and Baby R ran around, playing together (we've been waiting for this since they were born) while (the other) Baby J slept. J and I were able to give A his birthday present after missing his birthday celebration the other week and were quite happy when he seemed to like his nerdy-cool F-Stop watch. It was really nice to have a relaxing evening with our friends. Because of our +4 we don't get together as often as we used to and I miss it.

The whole weekend was really good except everything was overshadowed by the nasty cold that went through our house. I'm still not completely healthy though the rest of my family seems to be. Soon. Hope you all had a great Easter weekend.

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I totally understand about being in front of the computer while nursing/pumping. I did that every night at about 3am lol.
