Snow melt

We had a bunch of snow not too long ago but then it rained. And it rained and it rained and it rained. Thankfully with some warmer temperatures the snow banks are melting enough that some storm drains are clear and the water has somewhere to go.

Not all the water though because spring wouldn't be spring without puddles. Yesterday we decided to walk to daycare to pick up Baby J and then walk home, our first time as a family of 4. It was warm enough for hoodies and hats, no bulky coats or mitts or boots. It was really nice.

Baby K did well in the carrier, I just made sure to have a hand on her so her head didn't bop around too much. She slept most of the way.

We hung out at daycare like we normally do but Baby J was pretty crabby so we put him in the stroller and headed home. He chatted the whole way, his bright green socked feet bouncing, a smile on his face.

When we got home our neighbour was outside with her little girl so we stopped to chat. Because we're lazy and never put shoes or boots on Baby J for the trip between home and daycare, J had to go in and grab him something to wear. His new firetruck rain boots were close to the door. Baby J loves the boots his aunt SJ got him and happily walked up and down the street, holding his dad's hand, splashing in the puddles.

This is as close to singing in the rain as Baby J has been and he loved it. Snow: please keep melting so we can have spring. Springtime with a playful toddler is going to be fun.
