7 months pregnant

How far along are you: 7 months

Recent appointments: I've had two appointments in the past month. The first one was with a midwife I hadn't met before and J was able to come. I'm glad he was because I got the rhogam shot and my arm was pretty sore. Everything looked good. The second one was yesterday with my secondary midwife. Again everything looked good, but she won't put any money on which way baby is lying.

Total weight gain: Up 19 pounds so far. 7 pounds in the past month.. I'm blaming Halloween and people bringing me chocolate constantly. And ice cream!

New symptoms: I've been having lots and lots of Braxton Hicks (BH) contractions, way more than last time but apparently that's normal. Also, there was one night when after lying on the couch, I couldn't put any weight on my left leg because of the pain. I'm happy it went away and isn't a constant thing, but that may mean it's a problem with my back instead of baby just sitting on a nerve. I may see a chiropractor for an assessment.

Best moment this month: Just today I found out that I got a parking spot closer to my building at work. No more long walk to the parking lot in the freezing cold.

Food cravings / aversions:
I've been eating way too much chocolate and too many cookies. I'm trying hard to be good, but it's tough.

Belly button in or out: Still in! I feel like this is a small victory considering it's been threatening to pop for ever.

What do you miss: Regular, well fitting jeans, you know, the kind without an elastic waist that make me look good. Yeah, those.

What are you looking forward to: I just picked up a yoga and belly dancing DVD from the midwives office so I'm looking forward to doing some of those exercises. I tried them and have to admit, belly dancing looks pretty but it's incredibly hard! So exercising at home and Christmas!

  1. K, you look amazing! You must be feeling good. Definitely get your back checked out. I've had chiro throughout my pregnancy and it has really helped. I don't know that I'll go any more adjustments now unless I am trying to induce labour, but it really did help with lower back pain and my sciatica earlier when I was about where you are now.

  2. you look great!! Hope you can sort out your back. Enjoy Christmas!

  3. I agree - love the picture! You look amazing! Can't wait to hear the name, too : )
