Wake me up when September ends

Is it just me or has this month been a weird one? It was full of birthday celebrations but when those ended it was just blah. Didn't help that my whole house got sick and it rained every day.

Maybe it didn't rain every day but it sure felt like it.

All of a sudden it's the end of the month and October is just around the corner. October means Thanksgiving and Halloween and as soon as Halloween is done J is allowed to start singing Christmas carols. Why is this year charging on? I'm not ready for carols, though bring on Thanksgiving with multiple turkey dinners and days off work. That I can handle.

Really, I just need things to slow down a little. I need a minute to catch my breath. I think this feeling has to do with being at work. After a year at home, it's hard to get back in the swing of things when it means being not-at-home for 9 hours a day. I'm lucky if I get a load of laundry done at night after everything else is done - feeding, bathing, playing, etc.

Enough of my complaining. In the words of Green Day, wake me up when September ends. I'm holding out hope that somehow October will be better. Maybe it will rain less? Maybe I will learn how to cook and keep house? Anything is possible.

  1. We were talking about this at work yesterday. How is it even possible that it's the end of September already?!?! The month has absolutely flown by!

  2. echoing these feelings, 100%. Hopefully October is a more productive-feeling month. And less dull/rainy? Please!

  3. We got 15 cm of snow during this september (gone now, for now!) and I agree with the weirdness. I also will have been in the dentist's chair for 5.5 hours by the end of the month, so I won't miss that either.

In my opinion October is one of the best months of the year, I predict a good month ahead for all of us!!! (hel-lo industrial sized bags of halloween candy month!)
