Baby J: The latest

My little man is changing every day. I'm not kidding. He's adding new tricks to his repertoire all the time.

This week he started babbling differently. He's close to syllables and raspberries. Soon, words! I'm hoping for mama first, obviously.

Last week, all of a sudden, he was able to sit up on his own. He's been sitting in his Bumbo chair since we got it but prefers to stand hands down. I got to a Kindermusik class and plopped him on the ground in a seated position and he stayed there. It was amazing. I love how he looks when he's sitting - somehow older and more mature but so little and cute at the same time.

He's also rolling all the time. His rolling is interfering with eating and diaper changes and sleeping. Thankfully he is starting to not hate being on his stomach which is a good thing since every time you put him down he ends up there. I don't think crawling is too far off.

The funniest thing though is the kisses. He will grab you by the neck and launch his head towards you, leading with a wide open mouth. It's sloppy and adorable.

I need to get better at writing things down so I can look back and know when he started doing all these things. Better crack out that baby book!

  1. I love the open mouth they want to eat your face! They are, by far the best kisses. Now Im following you! :)

  2. so cute! It's so fun watching them learn and grow. Sounds like he'll be getting into things before you know it!

  3. Man, if I have kids I'm really hoping the first word is like, the lord's prayer or 17th century French poetry, because, can you imagine the bank you'd make on that? Plus, all the talk show circuits.

Then again, reality. He sounds like such a sweetie and so much fun to watch. Wish I were there!

  4. Hahahah Captain Pants, I actually laughed out loud when I read this! My God, I think that would be the creepiest thing Ever... I am just picturing Baby J Happily sitting on his mat, looking up at K and going from coo-ing to full speach in one sentence.. Our father who art in heaven...
