The ABCs of K

Because I'm still feeling sick, I grabbed some ABCs from Becca at Made with Love. I'm working on some posts, but don't have any ready to publish so in the meantime enjoy the ABCs of the Life of K.

A. Area code: 613.
B. Bed size: Queen.
C. Chore you hate: Cleaning the bathroom.
D. Dog's name: We don't have a dog, but my parent's dog is Max.
E. Essential "start the day!" item: A Nutrigrain bar.
F. Favourite colour: I would have said blue without a doubt but more and more I'm finding myself drawn to purple.
G. Gold or silver: I don't like yellow gold, but my wedding ring is white gold. So silver for colour but gold for metal.
H. Height: I don't know.. 5'7" or 5'8".
I. Instruments you play: I have played the piano, the recorder and the trumpet.
J. Job: I'm a scientist.
K. Kids: Baby J.
L. Living arrangements: Huh? We have a house.
M. Mom's name: Yolande.
N. Nickname: Mine? I don't really have one.
O. Overnight hospital stay: Once when I hurt my neck really bad and once when we were waiting for Baby J to get some tests.
P. Pet peeve: Either unsolicited advice or when people treat me like I'm stupid.
Q: Quote from a movie: I have a terrible memory. Even if I had a favourite quote there's no way I could remember it.
R. Righty or lefty: Lefty, but by being left-handed I automatically have to do lots of things with my right hand.
S. Siblings: I have a younger brother.
T. Time you wake up: Whenever the baby does.. normally between 7 and 9am.
U. Underwear: Bikini.
V. Veggie you dislike: Celery!
W. Ways/reasons you are late: Oh man, I'm late more often than I'm on time, but I'm working on it.
X. Xrays you've had: Three neck injuries, a broken wrist, two sprained ankles, two sprained elbows... I'm sure there are more.
Y. Yummy food you make: I would have to say my banana bread. It's pretty good.
Z. Zoo animals you like: There were these wee little monkeys once. They were cute.

There you have it!

  1. I find it interesting that your color preference changed from blue to purple... And even though these posts may be an "easy out," I still like reading them!

  2. I enjoy reading them too! I am 5'7 also. I am guessing you probably had to stay overnight at the hospital when you had baby j too or were you lucky and they let you leave?

  3. Melissa: I looked around the other day and realized just how much purple surrounds me. Used to be blue. Somewhere along the way it changed.

The Full Nelson: We were able to leave about 5 hours after having Baby J but stayed that night because he needed some tests done at 24 hours old. If we'd left, he would have had to be admitted to a different hospital for the tests and I wouldn't have been admitted too. All that to say that I stayed that night but not because I had to, because I wanted to.

  4. DITTO on the unsolicited advice. I hate it.
